Rev. Christophe Nshimyimana - der neue Bischof der Diözese Butare

 

Wer ist Bischof Christophe Nshimiyimana? Nshimyimana hatte zuvor verschiedene Positionen in der Kirchenleitung inne und spielte eine wichtige Rolle im Bildungssektor. Er ist mit Goretti Cyiza verheiratet und seine Familie hat drei Söhne: Allan Sangwa, Jesse Nziza und Alvin Mpano.

 

Bischof Nshimyimana nahm 2003 Jesus Christus als seinen persönlichen Herrn und Retter an. Sechs Jahre später wurde er zum Diakon und 2011 zum Pastor geweiht, was bedeutet, dass er seit mehr als 12 Jahren im pastoralen Dienst tätig ist.

 

Er dient seit fast neun Jahren in der Diözese Shyira und war außerdem stellvertretender Pastor in der St. John the Baptist Cathedral. Der neu gewählte Bischof war neben seiner Verantwortung als zweiter gesetzlicher Vertreter der Diözese Shyira zwei Jahre lang als Direktor für Verwaltung und Finanzen am Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) tätig.

 

Im August 2018 wechselte er von der Diözese Shyira in die Diözese Gasabo und im Nationalbüro der anglikanischen Kirche von Ruanda, wo er das gemeinschaftliche Bibelstudium koordinierte. Derzeit ist er neben seiner Rolle als Dekan der Fakultät für Bildungs-wissenschaften und Lehrbeauftragter am East African Christian College (EACC) leitender Pfarrer der Gemeinde Kimironko.

 

Über seinen Bildungshintergrund:

 

Bischof Rev. Nshimyimana ist Doktorand in Bildungsverwaltung und -management an der Uganda Christian University.

 

Er verfügt über einen Master-Abschluss in Pädagogik (Planung, Management und Verwaltung) und ein Postgraduierten-Diplom in Pädagogik der Mount Kenya University.

 

Darüber hinaus verfügt er über einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Theologie der Uganda Christian University und ein Berufszeugnis der Sekundar-stufe A2.

 

Rev. Nshimyimana schloss seine Grundschule in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo ab, wohin seine Eltern 1959 ins Exil gingen.

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Christophe Nshimyimana - the new bishop of the Diocese of Butare

Who is Bishop Christophe Nshimiyimana? He previously held various positions in church leadership and played an important role in the education sector. He is married to Goretti Cyiza and his family has three sons: Allan Sangwa, Jesse Nziza and Alvin Mpano. Nsimyimana accepted Jesus Christ as personel Lord and Saviour in 2003.

He was ordained a deacon six years later and a pastor in 2011, meaning he has been in pastoral ministry for more than 12 years.He has served in the Diocese of Shyira for nearly nine years and has also served as an associate pastor at St. John the Baptist Cathedral. The newly elected Bishop served as Director of Administration and Finance at Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) for two years, in addition to his responsibilities as the second legal representative of the Diocese of Shyira. IIn August 2018, bishop Nshimyimana moved from the Diocese of Shyira to the Diocese of Gasabo and the National Office of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, where he coordinated community Bible study. In addition to his role as Dean of the Faculty of Education and Lecturer at the East African Christian College (EACC), he is currently the senior pastor of the Kimironko congregation.

About his educational background:

Bishop Rev. Nshimyimana is a PhD candidate in Educational Administration and Management at Uganda Christian University. He holds a Master's Degree in Education (Planning, Management and Administration) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Mount Kenya University. He also holds a bachelor's degree in theology from Uganda Christian University and an A2 secondary vocational certificate. Bishop Rev. Nshimyimana completed his primary school in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where his parents went into exile in 1959.
